TUNABLE X-BAND BAND-PASS WAVEGUIDE FILTER

Tunable X-band band-pass waveguide filter

The tunable X-band band-pass waveguide filter is used for measuring the carrier frequency and the spectral characteristics of high-power microwave pulses. The filter design comprises a basic waveguide with input and output flanges and a resonant waveguide. The resonant waveguide is plunged into the basic waveguide to a certain depth determining the circuit the resolution of the filter. The resonant waveguide has a short-circuiting piston displaceable with a microscrew. The position of the piston inside the resonant waveguide determines the central frequency of the filter bandwidth.

Parameters of the filter
Operating frequency range9–11 GHz
Bandwidth in the operating range 70–160 MHz
Insertion loss in the operating range0.5–1 dB
Overall dimensions210×130×42 mm
Weightno greater than 450 g
