TECHNOLOGIES & APPLICATIONS

SOURCES OF HIGH-POWER DIRECTED WAVE BEAMS OF ULTRAWIDEBAND ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION

Purpose

The generators of high-power (100-1000 MW) linearly polarized unidirectional wave beams of ultrawideband (with the spectrum edge frequency ratio ≥

1A bipolar voltage pulse length by the amplitude level of 0.1.
2Repetition rate is controlled in the limits of 1-100 Hz.
3A pattern width by the half-level of the peak power in the horizontal and vertical planes.

АActuality

The novelty of the sources proposed is that they use conceptually new combined radiators and antenna arrays based on these radiators and excited by high-power bipolar voltage pulses. The efficiency of the conversion of electric pulses into electromagnetic radiation by energy and peak power reaches 90%.

Analogs

No analog has come to the authors' notice.

Full-scale testing results

Full-scale testing of the systems has shown that they are capable to generate with high reliability and reproducibility ultrawideband radiation pulses with the parameters listed in Table.

Suggestions for collaboration

It is suggested to sell the ultrawideband radiation sources on the partnership basis and to develop new versions of the sources in accordance with customer's assignments.
